I need to make a correction to something in my previous post: Theophilus Faver was on the Wilkes
Co. Tax Rolls, but listed as defaulter. This just means
he probably bought land in Wilkes Co. at some point,
but never improved it or lived on it; I think he stayed in
SC. He did have contact with John Sr., because he
witnessed a deed between John Sr. and William,
made in Wilkes Co. Also, I recently found out that there
are 2 Faver family cemeteries on the old Faver land;
one near the site of the old house and one a couple of
miles away. The latter is so overgrown that is virtually
impossible to find or to access. However, one of the
most credible Faver researchers who has done major
research in Wilkes Co. tells me John Sr. was buried in
the Sardis Church cemetery in Rayle, but his grave has disappeared over the years. Thanks for writing back,
