I have a copy of "FAVER and KINDRED 1748 - 1990" by Alma Yarborough Carroll. She lists no Joel FAVER in her index. A Michael Talley once wrote me that the oldest son of William and Susan [APPLING] FAVER was named Joel. William appears in his parents' Family Group Sheet on page 15. Unfortunately, Alma does not list any information about William and Susan's children.

The fact that William died in [and is buried in] "Ragland, St. Clair County, AL" might be a clue that this is the family that you seek.

Last I knew, Alma was still alive and living at 4988 Smokey Road, Newnan, GA 30263. I would suggest that you write her and ask if she has anything more that didn't get into the book.

Happy hunting, Jim Favor
