Was the original spelling LeFevre? The farthest I have gotten on my family tree was to a man named Edward James Faver. He was from Germany and we have evidence that when he was in Germany his last name was spelled with an "S" instead of an "F". The Le... sounds french. If in fact it originated as a french surname I thought you would be interested in knowing that there is a German branch too.
