I am very interested in your William H. Favor, I have a William Harvey Favor B-abt. 1833 in Russelville,KY, married 1860 to a Artemisa Helen Oldham B-abt.1846 in KY. I show on notes passed down from my grandfather that William Harvey Favor's father was Silas Favor and wife Nancy Sales (showing she was from Warren Co. Ky)Their children were Wm H., Henrietta, John, Maria Francis, Boone, Samuel, Rowen and Nancy. I have not found this family on the Census of KY yet. I have no idea where Silas Favor came from, could be your William H. of the north.
Wm H. Favor's children were (My grandfather) William (Will)David,(Robt.?)Lee, Charles (Elias?), James (B.?), Thomas (Lane?), and Franklin. The dau. were Minnie m.TAYLOR & Mary m:Stringfeller.
My father and Grandfather both mentioned that the brothers all spelled the name different. Ex.Faver, Favers, Favor, Favors
I have detailed as much of this info to help anyone else researching this name. I have some names of my grandfathers nephews if anyone would like what I have.
