I am a Historian of the 26th Alabama and am looking for information on Captain Favor. I know that he was wounded at the Battle of Malvern Hill on July 1, 1862 which resulted in paralysis of his right wrist and eventual retirement. He died February 5, 1895 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. His wife applied for a pension in Jack County, Texas in 1899 and again in Montague County, Texas in 1908. Would love any additional info and would really love a photograph. Ideally wartime but sure would take a post war photo. Please e-mail me as I've posted a lot of officers.
