Dan:

Went to the good Doctor in Salisbury today and we got to talking. Now my line is Fawkes back into PA. However, we are or have Denton, White, Proffit connections. Savannah GA. Charleston/Orangeburg, SC. Surry, NC. Rowan, NC. Cocke/Jefferson and Davidson, TN. Amherst/Albemarle and Goochland, VA back into 1740's. Same crowd as yours. Harris is in there too.

My question is have you folks ever looked at the primary deeds in TN and GA where Levi Sr./Jr. was known to have been?

We have found two major moves into GA. One before 1760 and one around 1784. Now if old Levi Sr. fought in GA, my guess is he was in the first group. Difficult crowd to trace, but it is doable. Primarily three jumping off places. VA, PA or MD and straight from Ireland. A lot of folks from Ireland and particularly Scotland were prisoners of war and dumped into the colonies to expel them down there.

Anyway, thought I would correspond.

Thanks.
