Early record indicate that there were almost no Faxons in England --- theory is that the name came from the French Facon or Scottish Foxon/Foxen. I've met an individual who claims to have visited England and researched recors pertaining to Faxon. He is the owner of Faxon Auto literature in Pomona area of California. I have no idea how he will react to questions so approach him gingerly.
