Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Having talked to Ann Neff tonight, I believe I might have hit a connection in my tree but I need better verification which neither of us have.
I am trying to prove that my Valda Merritt Faxon of Joplin (Bowers Mills) MO is the same as her Valde/Valse Faxon, son of Fielding Murray Faxon of St. Francisville, Clark, MO. Fielding Murray = son of Allen Murray of Hoosick, Rensselaer, NY. Allen = son of Allen of Pembroke, Plymouth, MA. Allen = son of Elisha of Braintree, Norfolk, MA. Elisha = son of Eliashib of Braintree. Son of Josiah of Braintree. Son of Richard (Immigrant ancestor) 26 Feb 1634/1635 in Hingham, Essex, England. Son of Thomas and Joane.
I know that from Thomas to Fielding the notes are fine, as they were Ann's. What I hope is that someone else who has these lines might have something on Valda to prove the link. My mom says he was once a Professor at a Catholic University in Missouri, for what that's worth. His wife was Mary Naomi Smith.
Yhanks for any help you can give.
