Harmon Fagin vs. Harman Feagan WHITACRE
Posted by: Cathy (Whitacre) Reisinger Date: January 02, 2001 at 17:23:01

Hi there!

I'm shooting in the dark here, but hoping someone out there can help with these people. I believe Fagin (or Feagan) must be a woman's maiden name up the line somewhere - but where? No clue! Any ideas?

But my biggest concern right now is the difference in spellings. Does anyone know which is correct or are both of them correct? Does anyone have any documents to back up either of the gentlemen?

Harmon Fagin WHITACRE
(s/o Edward WHITACRE and Rachel A. BYE)
       b. 1824 Minerva, Stark Co, OH
       d. 1907 Creal Springs, Williamson Co, IL
       m. 1844 William Co, IL to
+Mary Ann DEMING
       b. 1824 KY or OH
       d. 1908 Creal Springs, Williamson Co, IL

Harman Feagan WHITACRE
(s/o Harmon's brother, William Bye WHITACRE and Matilda Ferrell ROBERTS)
       b. 1864 Erath Co, TX
       d. 1916
       m. abt 1887 to
+Dora Lee/Sara Wingo
       b. ??

Thanks for any help you might supply!
