I was delighted to receive your message re John Ferneyhough of "Sligo." Since my message concerned Thomas Ferneyhough, I assume that you, too, refered to Thomas.

When you refer to the "Eheart relatives, on his father's side," do you mean on his father-in-law's side? Or are you actually refering to Thomas's father? If so, who is his father? You are much further along than I!

Do you have the citation for the land transactions in Orange County, that of 1782 and the other of 1784? I have searched the deed books diligently and have not found either of those references, which is not to say that I couldn't have missed it!

Again, many thanks for your response. I love this family and happened upon them by accident, trying to trace the family of Sarah "Forney" who was married to Holland Osborn. In the deed records I not only found reference to her, but also to her mother Aggie Lucas Fearneyhough. It was a red-letter day for me--as was your message.
