William Fearnley, US Civil War, 25th Mass. Inf.

I am looking for any possible relatives of William Fearnley of Leicester, Massachusetts, USA. He was born in England ca. 1823. It is not known when he came to the USA. He does not show up in any US Census. During the Civil War he enlisted into Company E, 25th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry on 28 July 1862. He was taken prisoner on 16 May 1864. He died in the Confederate prison at Andersonville, Georgia on 7 August 1864, age 41, and is buried there in the National Cemetery. He may have been a widower since his three children William, Sarah, and Edwin were in the care of Leicester Selectman Silas Gleason. In a Worcester County Probate record from 1865 the oldest child was 14 but doesn't state which one. I have found no other record of these three children after 1865. If anyone is possibly related please contact me.

Thank you,
Patrick McKeon
