I'd have to search a bit for exact dates, but the Fearnleys came to Birchardville when my grandmother was young (born 1915)say about 1921. They came by train to the Vestal station. Glen (Lois's son) had come a little earlier to buy a farm. A son, Franz stayed at the farm while Glen went back to ohio to gather the family. There were 8 children at that time, but the two older ones Seth adn Lila came separately and Franz was already in PA. (Great)Grandma Fearnley came with 5 children, the youngest about 3. She made a feed bag full of popcorn for the children to eat on the trip. I think, but don't remember for sure, Lois Shellhart also came separately. She is buried in the Birchardville cemetery near other family. Birchardville is a short drive for me. Lois was a widow by the time she came to PA from OH. My grandmother, who is still alive was fond of her Grandma Lois and Lois must have spoken well of Mr Shellhart, because he was well thought of also even though grandma was too young (or not yet born) when Mr. Shellhart died. Mr. Shellhart must have been a good furniture builder because I have seen a wonderful desk that he built. It was made with many different kinds of wood. As for Everitt and Shellhart, I haven't found that connection yet. What can you tell me there?
Thanks.
Christy
