Thanks for the details! The Shelhart line goes back through William Shelhart's great uncle, Herman Jacob Shelhart, and a son of Herman Jacob married into the Everitt or Everett clan in PA. So the connection would be distant for your immediate family. I thought maybe there was some intermingling of cousins going on, but doubt that that is the case.
