Hi Judy, yes this is my Elizabeth. I already had most of the information, but it's always good to know that someone is interested. I have managed to trace some of her brothers and sisters and also her mother's birth, but I am still stuck on her father's line. Ireland isn't the easiest place to research! Fortunately three of her brothers and sisters were born in Scotland so I found quite a lot of information from their certificates, the Scottish ones are so much more informative than the English or Irish ones. Her father John was a mariner and so far, even though I have found his wife on census he has always been away. I did however track him down when retired, on the 1901 census for Rostrevor Co Down, but unfortunately it didn't give me any more information than I already have. The Catholic records for the area of his birth don't start until the year after he was supposedly born, so I haven't been able to pinpoint his father. I have found his marriage, but that doesn't list father's name and it's unfortunately before civil registration started in Ireland so there's no certificate to send for. Anyway thanks for your help. If there's anything I can look up for you please let me know.
Many thanks, Pat.
