My ancestor Alexander was the younger brother of this James Fears. I have in my notes that James Fears did have a daughter Lucinda born about 1838 in AR by his first wife Sally Watson whom he married 6-24-1825 in White Co., IL. James and Alexander were sons of Edmund Fears b.1764 Prince Edward Co., VA d.Apr. 15, 1844 White Co., IL (a Revolutionary War soldier) and his wife Sarah (Sally) Hood who died 1821. I have no notes on what happened to James' daughter Lucinda after the 1850 census. You might note that there is another Lucinda Fears on the 1850 AR census: the one in Van Buren Co. (p.321 household 341) was born 1833 AR and had a mother named Sarah (b.1807 TN), brother James A. b. 1829 TN and sister Katherine b. 1834 AR. Her father apparently was Josiah (from 1840 census index) who died before 1850. Hope this helps. Jack
