James Fears, b. TN 1829

I am trying to gaing some perspective on James Fears b. TN 1829 according to multiple census reports in Arkansas 1840,1850 and Missouri 1860-1910. He is noted to be born in TN in all of the census reports but the birth date varies
in only one census (1880 MO. census puts him at 1825) though the majority have him at b. 1829. It is also clear that this James Fears is married to Nancy Counts. I have noted some researcher to give this James Fears another wife, Mirinda Pyles/Piles. Since we find this second James Fears in Santhuff Cemetery,Reynolds County Missouri with incription on tombstone stating 1823-1889 with Mirinda buried adjacent I am skeptical that these two James are the same. Considering that James Fears is noted with Nancy in 1910 one would have to explain these discrepant facts away before saying James Fears b. 1829 in TN is the same James Fears b. 1823-1825 and dying in 1899. Also various researchers have the James Fears married to Mirinda being born in Alabama and, in some cases Kentucky.

I am quite interested in James as I believe he is the brother of my direct ancestor, Lucinda Fears. Lucinda had a sister named Catharine who married a George Wesley Counts. George shares a common ancestry with Nancy Ellen Counts who married James Fears. I have noted researcher reporting that the James Fears b. 1829 TN has father James or Joseph b. 1802 in Prince Edward County, VA. According to the 1840 Van Buren County, Ark. census index there is a Josiah Fears b. approx. 1800 who appears to be the father of James, Catherine, and Lucinda with wife Sarah or Sary.

Does anyone else out there have any additional information that might objectively clear this all up?
