I have just recently got married and moved into a new house all within the past two months. Therefore, I am under a new regime when it comes to house cleaning. Needless to say, my genealogy files are ordered closed until certain things are accomplished. Hopefully, within the next six weeks, I can open my files and spread them out.
If you are searching for an Edmund Fears who was with George Rogers Clark, I suggest researching Albemarle County records and Bedford County records. I could be wrong, but I would guess that the Edmund Fears who followed George Rogers Clark knew him growing up. There are records in Albemarle and Bedford Counties to suggest that the particular Edmund who died 9/4/1780 may be related to one of these Fears.
Specifically to Prince Edward County, there is an Edmund who is the son of James and Kesiah. I am not sure what happens to him.
I thought an Edmund Fears was enumerated in 1840 White County, Illinois census. Prince Edward County Deed Book 25 page 91 or 92 has White County, Illinois resident Edmund Fears selling his interest in land acquired from his father Absolem Fears via will in 1841. I have made the leap of faith that the Edmund Fears who died 15 Apr 1844 is the same person described above as well as the one who filed a pension application back in 1832.
Let me know if you need anything clarified; however, if you want other specific details, it may be easier for me to email you. This forum seems to suit best for quick replies.
