Richard. . it all sounds so nice but Edmund and Silence Fare/Fears/Fair that was in Burke County NC went to Casey county ky where in 1816 he wrote a will and it was probated in 1825. Silence was listed in that will along with the following children SArah Winkler; Rebecca Givin; James M.Fair;Absalom Fair; Edmund Fair; Mary Mason; Margaret Whittle; Hannah Smith; Jane Vandeveer;Aaron Fair;
they were all given one shilling as they had gotten their portions previously,more than likely when they reached their majority or when they married for the girls . . The balance of my estate of whatever kind I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Silence[name undelined] during her natural life . . . So I am sure that if I find Silence and Edmund together I have the correct ancestor. I am trying to find where Silence came from and Where she was born.
Do you have a will for your Edmund with a Silence listed? I believe that this would be the only way to get this straightened out.
Have you a marriage Bond for Edmond and Silence? I have been looking for one?
I believe I have my right Edmund it is the others who are linking themselves to Edmund that is confusing me.
