I don't see any immediate connection, but I'm thrilled to see another Feary. I have often suspected spelling differences as the reason for a lack of information. What I know about my Feary ancestors: My paternal grandmother was Mary Loretto Feary, b 11/8/1895 in Jefferson, Maine, d 1970, Oakland, CA. Her father, Maurice Joseph Feary, b 12/12/1868 in Tullamore, Offally, Ireland. According to family legend, Maurice and his brother were sentenced to go to Australia (for political dissidence), but Maurice ended up on a ship bound for America. Maurice worked as a gardner for a family named Savage. He married Mary Elizabeth Savage in 1891, in New Rochelle, Westchester, New York. They both died in Eagle Rock, California in the 1940s. They had 8 children: Anna Mary (May) b 5/25/1892 d 5/9/1945; Maurice Joseph, Jr. b 11/24/1996 d Aug 14, 1985 in Huntington Park, Los Angeles, California; John Wayne b 4/27/1903 d 11/6/1951; Peter Bernard b 1/21/1905, d 12/1972; Thomas Patrick, b 7/8/1906; Stephen Edward b 12/26/1910 d 12/13/1939; Frances Isabella b 6/4/1983 and John b 7/16/1894 both died as infants from diptheria. I know that Peter never married or had any children, but I have no information about the others. I believe that Maurice Joseph Jr. did have children, but we have no information about them. If anyone has any more information regarding the Feary name and family history, I'd love to hear.
