Dear Kathy,
I am quite sure you are of the same Feasler family as mine. However, I do not have any records of your John Edward Feasler. There seems to be several members of the same family, Fuessler, that came to Erie, PA during the 1800's from Friedrichstahl, Karlsruhe, Germany. They were probably brother or cousins. As they fit into the the life of Erie, they all started using variations of the family name, Fuessler: Feasler, Fiesler, Feisler, and Fuessler. Our ancestor, Karl Phillip Traumann Fuessler is the only one who used the "Feasler" spelling. That is why I feel your John Edward Feasler is in our line. I do have a son of Karl, Edward S. Feasler, who does not show up in any sources except he is mentioned in the estate papers of his brother, John Heinrich Feasler. I'll dig out those papers and see if it could be your Edward S. Feasler's father. What do you know about your Edward S.? Any clues as to when he might have left Erie?
