Daniel Wolfe Feather (1821-1904) x Julia Ann Garner (1827-) of Preston Co, WV is a member of WV1 family.
He is the second of 10 children of Jacob Feather, Jr (1796-1847) x Mary Sisler
Jacob is the third of 11 children of Jacob Feather (1759-1832) x 1791 Mary Connoly (1769-1860) who started out in Milford Twp, Bedford Co, PA; then to Milford Twp, Somerset Co, PA (which was probably the county moving, not Jacob; then Turkeytrot Twp, Somerset Co; (again same farm) and finally to Preston Co, VA in 1804 (which later sprang away as West Virginia at the time of the Civil War.
Jacob was the son of Josepph Christian Vatter (1719-) x Maria who left Frankenthan, Germany on the "King of Prussia" in 1775.
I have been to Frankenthal many times and it is a deliteful small city on the mainline of the Railroad.Look on any good map for Worms to the north and Ludwighaven to the south, which is across the Rhine from Manheim.Manheim is on the east of the river.
I feel certain that there is a connection to the MAIN family of Fetter who settled in Bedford Co from Freinsheim which is only twenty miles west of Frankenthal.
Daniel Wolfe Feather had 7 kids:
Sysan A 1849
William 1851
Amos Jacob 1853
Anzellettia 1855 (That is a MOST unusual name)
Margery 1857
Marshall Charles 1859
Lillian Melvina (1866-1946)
I do not know any descendants and could use your help to fill in birth year, death year, marriage year and spouses and children for the above.
Your family is very large and covers about 26 pages of typewritten notes.
I hope this was helpful to you.You should have a great number of relatives out there based on the size of this family.
