I am researching Nelson Co., KY Featherkile's that moved to Orange County, IN for a friend.
From reading all of the submissions I gather that George Featherkile married to Mary/Polly Bailey 1799 in Nelson Co., KY.
Between his will and census records I gather that there were at least 4 children.
1. Polly-who married to Malachi Tyler and has at least one known daughter.
a. Cynthia who married to John Dalton in Orange County, IN. Cynthia was born 7-23-1826 and died 6-12-1912 in Orange County, IN.
(death certificate of Cynthia confirms parents, also George's will names daughter, Polly Tyler.)
2. George who married to Margaret Robberts (12-27-1826, Orange County, IN) and then later to Nancy R. Tyler (anyone have a marriage record on them??) and had the following children (based on 1850 Boone County, IN census)
a. Hennrietta, born c1834 in Miss.
b. Hannah, b c1837
c. Polly A. b c1839
d. Nancy P. b c1844
e. George P. b c1847
f. Abraham A. b c1849
3. Anna K. born c1798 and died 10/11/1875 (burial in the Brooks Family Cemetery, Orange County, IN)
Anna married 1st to William Robberts (3-30-1826 in Orange County, IN) and 2nd to Levi Johnson (7/2/1829 in Orange County, IN) per the 1850 Orange County Census I have the following children:
a. Elizabeth, died 3/17/1855 age 24y/4m/6d, burial in Brooks Family Cemetery, Orange Co., IN
b. George, b c1835
c. Adam, b c1837
d. Francis M., b c1838
e. Anna J., b c1843
f. Richard M. b c1847
4. Adam H. born c1812
Based on IN marriage records I have the following:
Married to Pamela Jane Holley on 5-10-1843 in Orange County, IN.
Married to Nancy Pauley on 5-3-1849 in boone County, IN.
(1850 Boone Census)
a. Lucinda, born c1840 (prior to marriage, or was Adam previously married? He would have been about 30 at the time of his "first" marriage so I assume he may have been married before and there may be other older chilren as well)
b. George M. Born c1844, son of first wife.
Haven't seen 1860 census to determine if any children by second marriage.
My friend is tracing her lineage through Polly Featherkile and Malachi Tyler.
If any one can be of any help it would be greatly appreciated!!! She would be very interested in documentation if there is any. She is not on-line, but would be interested in snail mail with any other descendants of this line.
If I can be of any assistance, let me know.
