That refrence to a Philomène kind of lost me here!

The "Charles and Rosalie" you refer to are Charles [at times Charles-Antoine] HUBERT, son of Antoine & Cécile LEMONDE: m. 16 Sept 1850 in Verchères], and his wife Rosalie DAUPLÈS [at time Dauplaise], dau. of Pierre & Rosalie BEUCHEMIN. Charles and Rosalie were married on 8 Oct 1850 at St-Mathieu de Beloeil.

I do not claim to have all of their childrem butI have data on the marriages of 6 of them, namely Aglaé, Alexandre, Delina (Délima?), Merménégilde, Philomèee (married twice), & Rosalie.

As you can see, I have no Joseph, no Caroline and no Alphonsine. BUT, their son Herménégilde was married to a Philomème: Philomène LAMOUREUX, on 25 Jan 1881 in St-Mathieu de Beloeil.

And at the 1881 Canadian Census, one finds Charles, 62, and Rosalie, 51, living with their children Rosalie (30), Herménégilde (25) and his wife Alphonsine (27), Aglaé (16), Joseph (14), Caroline (9) and Virginie (7). By 1881 Alexandre, Philomène and Delvina were married and lived on their own.

So I suspect there never was an Alphonsine HUBERT dau. of Charles and Rosalie, and that Alphonsine you refer to was in fact Alphonsine LAMOUREUX, Herménégilde's wife.

Still, I do not know how "Alphonsine" crept into those messages!

Best regards,
