Douglas, I also have been looking into my mother's family. I have found that the majority of the Fecteau Family, those that are still living are in Maine. As of 2002 there were 129 descendants of Arsene & Rose Anna (Martineau) Fecteau living in Maine. I am not sure if you are interested in this line of the family, but I am willing to share what info. I have. Most of it is current, or fairly so, back to Joseph Guillaume Arsene Fecteau - 1885, I am waiting for a book that goes back to Pierre Filteau, son of Robert and Marguerite (Brochet) Filteau.
I hope we can share information.
