It seems that the FEEHANs are few and far between! Our FEEHAN is Terrence FEEHAN, who married someone named Alice--surname unknown.

Their first child, Mary Ellen FEEHAN, married John Henry DOWNS. Mary and John lived in St. Paul, MN, during most of their marriage, but did spend several years living in LaCrosse, WI in the early 1880's. We have always wondered if there was a DOWNS or FEEHAN relative living in the area of LaCrosse, because we have been unable to find any other reason for their moving there for a few years and then returning to St. Paul, where they spent the rest of their lives.

Terrence and his wife, Alice, lived in Mounds View, Ramsey County, MN. We have no information on the parents of either, but censuses indicate that both of them were born in Ireland, ca early 1800's (their oldest child was born in 1856). In one census, there was a 59 year old man named Patrick Morgan living in the household. Was he perhaps the father of Alice?

It is believed that Terrence came to the US from Ireland in 1848, according to one US census. Is it possible that Terrence was a brother of Thomas and Charles?

Terrence and Alice FEEHAN had the following children:

Mary Ellen FEEHAN (died at age 39 in 1896)
Bridget FEEHAN (died in her 20's)
Rosanna FEEHAN (married Charles GREEN)
Stephen FEEHAN
Alice FEEHAN (married John CAMPION, who was killed by a train on his way home from work)

Does any of this information fit into your family of FEEHANs?

Jeanne DOWNS
