Don. County Sligo is a small county,of about (700sq.miles),it has about 40 R.C. parishes,Aghanagh being oone of the smallest. It is in the Elphin Diocese.It lies in the south-east of the County,bordered by County Rosscommon to the south and by Lough Arrow to the east.Parish records are available births from 1803.marriages from 1800, deaths from 1800. all until 1881 on FHLC 0989739.I am a 5th. generation Irish-Englishman with 100% Irish blood.
