I can provide the following information, however I cannot tie up a connection with the information I have and what you have provided, but in the future this information may mean something to us both:-
My GGrandfater, Patrick Feeney, came to Australia on 17 August 1889 by ship Dacca. He was 27 and single. His fare was paid for a naturalised Australian (probably his older brother, James born 1855. James came out to Australia, earlier, with his wife Margaret Callahan and children, John, Margaret, Kathleen. Their last child,James born 1901, was presumably born in Australia).
Patrick arrived on the ship Dacca with his younger brother Thomas (age 23).
Irish records show:-
Father John Feeney: Mother Catherine Lynch: had five children, all born Clonbroney, County Longford.
1. John born 15/04/1853 probably died.
2. John born May 1855 (this birth date John ties up with the James and Margaret Callahan mentioned above, perhaps his names was James John?)
3. Ellen born 15.10.1859 - no record of Ellen
4. Patrick born 15.10.1861 (my Greatgrandfather)
5. Thomas born 30.10.1864. I believe Thomas became a Catholic Priest.
Best of luck, William
NB, Australian (Queensland) records refer to a James Bernard Feeney who was a son of James and Margaret Feeney (nee Callahan). That Bernard name I have come across in other Feeney names but this is the first I've seen in our line.
Strange when you go over something and a small thing such as this appears.
Other Queensland records (1890 - 1914) refer to a Thomas Feeney son of John and Bridget Feeney (nee Pyne).
