I am looking for ancestors of Edward Cook who married Ellen McSweeney in Roma Queensalnd on 11 May 1865. They had 8 children, Joseph, William, John, Joseph, Edward, Margaret Ellen, May and George. May married Thomas Walters in Roma. May and Thomas had 6 children. One of which was my grandmother, Helena May Walters born 24 July 1909. Helena married John Joseph Feeney who had 3 girls, Valma, Jacqueline and Noela.
I believe that Edward Cook may have had a brother, Joseph who settled in Laidley building a hotel on the old Cobb & Co route which building is/was the South Laidley School. Joseph's son married a cousin (William Cook's daughter - William also had a son John). Children from the marriage were a Mrs Stark and Mrs Quinn. Mrs Quinn's daughter married a Hooper (an Ipswich family - sone of Mrs JB Hooper)
