Although you would not be able to tell from my last name I am directly related to the people in this posting. My Grandfather (My mother's father) Was Edward I Feeney. Although I never met him or any of his siblings (Only Ruth was alive during my lifespan: I am only 21). Edward died 3 months before I was born.
It's actually kind of wierd; The last few days I have started to really look into my family's past. I have read so many names in the family tree that I haven't been able to retain it all.
I don't have a computer, and I have to use the one at my work, or my girlfriends house. My grandmother (Edward's wife, Barbara) had studied a lot of the geneology of the family which was a lot harder then than it is now.
Although I have nothing in front of me I can tell you that I looked at a family album dating back to the 1800's. I have a picture of Michael Feeney who I believe was one of the first feeneys to come to the states. I know the picture was taken in Maryland. Also I know that there were pictures of a cemetery in woodstock Maryland.
I didn't expect to find anyone related to me on here. I was under the impression that my nephew (Corey Feeney) was the last feeney that could carry on the family name. If you could let me know any information on the roots of the family, how we are related, and any information at all I would really appreciate it. Also, I would share anything I know with you. Hope to hear from you soon.
