Helen: I don't believe there is any connection of this branch of Feeneys and yours. My James Feeney is buried in Fayetteville, TN, USA. I have run across the name Patrick in Pennsylvania in the early 1800's. I have also noticed the many similar names in my research. Not just the males, but the female Feeneys as well. There are many Rosannah's, Sarah's, and Mary Ann. Later in my family there are two Rosa Mae's (mother/daughter). Did your Patrick Feeney immigrate to Australia from the USA or from Ireland?
