Catherine Feeney, my g/g/grandmother married Michael Geary 6 Feb 1834 in St. Martin's RC in Kilworth, Kilworth Parish, County Cork, Ireland. Catherine Feeney and Michael Geary's townland was Gortnaskehy, a few miles away from Kilworth. Catherine & Michael had 2 children: Margaret Geary in 1835 and Mary in 1836. It is believed Catherine and Michael died in the famine on the land. Margaret Geary immigrated to Uxbridge, Ma. area and married Andrew Burns. Her sister Mary also immigrated to this area & later to Chicago. Other Feeney relatives from Gortnaskehy are known to have immigrated to this area of Ma. I am seeking information on other Feeney members of this line. Please email me with any information.
