Thanks to Emmet Feerick and family, who must get plenty of enquiries, for sparing us time to tell us what was known of our particular Feerick line whilst we were in Ballinrobe this summer, and for directing us to the location of my grandfather Patrick Feerick's birthplace, where the 200yr-old ruins still stand. (Amazing to realise they lived through the Great Famine there.)

It made the trip very special and we enjoyed visiting Feericks Bar (Ballinrobe) too
