I believe that Franz Joseph is most likely descended from Heirononous Fehrenbacher of The Evansville Area. I pretty much know the Ill Fehrenbachers.Heironimous father was Franz Josef, and he also had a younger brotr Franz Josef. Do you know the birth date of your Franz Josef. Feb. 12, 1814, is the birthdate of son of Franz J.who was born Jan 12, 1782. If these birthdates don't match what you have, let me know. There is another Franz Josef Casimer Fehrenbacher b. 1785, who has a son Franz J. I have a 900 page book that contains all the names of peole who lived in Schuttertal from 1690 to 1990. It was compiled from Church records by Gerhard Finkbiner, who was a history teacher in Schuttertal. He has written several books, and has been a guest in our home four different times. I helped compile a book on the Wendelin, Ill. Holy Cross Parish, that was started in 1860 as St. Johns Church and first Holy Cross Church was built 1871. We publiished 1000 copies of the book which is 400 incl every name index. We still have about thirty copies left. Let me know if I can help you further.
Mary Fehrenbacher.
