Dear Mary,
Hieronymus and Jerome are the same name. Latin and probably older German use Hieronymus. English uses Jerome. When they came to the US, they probably Americanized some of their names, especially Hieronymus.

I'm doing a genealogy for a friend who is a descendant of Jerome Fehrenbacher and Franz Josef. If you still have a picture of Franz Josef, I'm sure she'd love to see it. We have good information back to Joseph Fehrenbacher b. 1849. Do you know the ancestors of Franz Josef?
