Hello there... I've been doing some searching myself and I've found a little bit of stuff on the german/canadian side of the border...
I was born in Canada in 1979.. my dad came to Toronto during the 2nd world war and married my mom...
My Grandfather(Heinz Fehrmann) who had a child with my grandma(who came here with my dad) that child was my DAD(Wolf Gang Fehrmann)
My grandma consequntly remarried changed her name to Daubenspeck.. but who cares about that
Just this morning I recieved an email from one of my many fehrmann contacts she found out that her grandfather had a kid called Karl Heinz(possibly my grandfather) and that would make Hermann Fehrmann My great grandfather which would make her like my 4th Cousin... I hope this can be of some help
