Family Lineage - Texas/Mexico
Posted by: Robert L Felan (ID *****3106) Date: May 01, 2011 at 19:53:43

I have been doing some additional research and I found that my father is Robert M Felan, his mother was Petra Martinez, and his father was Marco Felan, both from mexico. Does anyone know where I need to go from here to persue the Felan line any further? I've read the information about the Mexican American War and I also read where the first Felan to enter the United States in 1860 was a Patrick Felan. I'm not sure how this fits, but I'm sure my lineage is of the Felan's from South Ireland. My Question at this point is who was my grandfather's father and where does it tie into the Irish line. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have four sisters and three brothers that don't know how far I have traced our father's roots. I'd like to wait till I have our Irish connection before I tell them. Thank You.
