Hi Coreen:

It is great to finally have a response to my forum that I can connect with my family history. As you may have notice I started this forum two years ago. I also live in Alberta. The Fellers can here from Montana and started a homestead here in the Battlebend District. The Killaly family came here in 1905. They then had four children Roy, Percy, John and Louis. Their daughter Marie was the first girl born at Battlebend, on December 15, 1907. All the rest of their children were born here too. Jack helped build the fence around the Wainwright Park. You have Marie Fellers maiden name as Gaurdipee but also look at Gariepy. I have lots of information on the Fellers after they came to Alberta. But nothing before that. What I need is how did Marie meet Adlophus and where. Adolphus parent both came from Alsac Lorraine. And Marie was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba as did here father John. Her Father and Uncles, I persume served on the Louis Reil Council. There is pictures in some history books. I live at Hardisty, Alberta which is about 20 miles from the Battlebend District. Their you will find a cemetery which have some of your relatives in. I grew up just 3 miles from the old Fellers homestead. Which was my Grandfather's homestead, he married Hattie Fellers a sister to Rose. If you would like to contact me by phone let me know.

Distant Cousin,
