Dear Anne,
Thanks for your response to my Felt Forum message. I have been waiting for my local library (Erie PA) to get in a reference copy of the Felt book but maybe you have it or can tell me exactly how my Jacob is descended from Aaron. All I know down to me is that Jacob was married to Sarah Anne McLean on 1 Dec 1829 in St. Lawrence County in Northern New York and that their son Samuel William (1 Jul 1838) married Nancy Camelia Crozier and was the father of my great grandmother "Minnie" Felt (30 Nov 1864) who married Charles (and later Louis) Dake and had a daughter Helen Myrtle (8 Sep 1886) who married Jerry Salisbury and had my mother Vivian Salisbury Hurd. All this happened in the Hammond NY area but how they got there I have no idea. I believe they may be related to Aaron (1Sep 1742 Lynn, MA) because some of his children came to New York but there must be one intervening generation I haven't accounted for yet - is that your Joshua?
As I said on the forum,I have ALL the descendents of Minnie Felt recorded as I am in charge of the "Felt - Dake" reunion which is in its 65th year. Unfortunately, we lost track of recent generations for the Cora Felt Anable and Lottie Felt Soper branches but hope to recover them soon. I also have "discovered" a few brothers and sisters of my ancestors and some other Felts in northern NY and am hoping to tie them in somehow - notably the ones in Felt's Mills, NY (my mother has no clue !) Sorry if I'm rambling; hope all this fits you somehow and we can help each other. Sincerely, Peggy Hurd Koenig
