I am seeking biographical information and the personal papers of Nathaniel Henry Felt (1816-887), a native of Salem, Essex Cty., MA who converted to Mormonism and migrated to Utah in 1850 where he became a prominent municipal official of Great Salt Lake City and merchant. I am especially interested in Felt's activities during the Utah War of 1857-58 and any letters that he may have sent to friends/family in Salem during this period.
