I just read where your Great grandfather was George Felty. If your grandfather was a good friend to a Col. George W. Flemming in the Civil War, this could be a shoe in to probably help us both to further our research. From what I have already read, we are both seeking info for not too distant relatives. Your grandfather and my great grandmother should be related closely. The book you wrote sounds so interesting, is it for sale? I would love to buy a copy of your book. I have one living uncle who is a nephew to Col. George W. Flemming from the 87th PA Inf-Civil War and he too is a long time military man who fought 2 big wars WWII and the Korean war. He has George W's discharge from the civil war.

As I understand George W. and George I. were the best of friends. My grandmother's mother was a Felty also and was of another ethnic background 100%. I believe you understand what I am trying to tell you. Don't want to put too much out there and have tons and tons of emails coming in.:) Let me know if any of these names click with you. They are: Bope, Flemming, Miller, Wagner and of course I have Felty also. All of them certainly lived one horrible life from what I know. Susan Felty was an aunt to my grandmother and Mary or Elizabeth Felty Bope was my great grandmother. They killed her though. God Bless those poor people back then! No one deserves to live like they did. My Uncle on the Flemming side is in his 90's and is sharp as a tack yet and I am grateful for that. He is my mother's brother. I see and hear from him quite a bit. Again, let me know if any of this info rings a bell to you.

Thanks, Molly
