Thank you for the information. I do have a question regarding the marriages of Margaret Tranbarger. You stated m1 24 May 1864 to Michael David Felty and m2 28 Aug 1875 to Daniel H Felty with children Sarah Tranbarger, William F and George M.
The 1860 Census of Goodson District, Washington Co, VA has Daniel in the home of Malon Felty and wife Deborah, along with other siblings you have mentioned. The 1870 Census of Goodson Dist. Washington Co, VA has Michael D. Felty with wife Margaret and child Barbara, age 2. (The ages of parents fit Daniel Felty and Margaret Tranbarger.) Then, the 1880 Census of same place lists Daniel Felty with wife Margaret and daughter Barbra (whose ages have advanced appropriately) with additional children, Sarah, William F. and George M. [I'll be happy to send you a copy of these Census images.]
It seems most likely to me that these two men are one and the same, unless you have documentation of separate marriages. I sure would like to know. Barbara Ellen Felty is my great-grandmother.
I guess you and I are cousins, though I haven't done the calculations to figure out how many times removed.
Thank you for your response.
