does anyone have a current email for Molly? Her post basically states that her great grandmother would have been a sister to my great grandmother (both were children of George Felty of the 87th) and brings up a question of her ethnic background. George Ignatius Felty's Wife was Josephine Weaver, but by an unknown father which many researchers list as "unknown Marshall" I have as yet been able to get anyone to tell me where this Marshall name comes from. Our family history only said that Catherine Weaver was pregnant to a man and before they could marry he ran off to the gold rush and the child was Josephine Weaver. I have a picture of Josephine and cannot say as she looks of Indian descent BUT I am far from being an expert. I would really love to know 'the rest of the story' I know some people will take offense to any suggestion of racial impurity in their family..not me..I just want to know the truth!!!
