Anne,
Please contact me.I have been working on the Fendall family history for the last 10 years and have a ton of information on Thomas Miller "Tom" Fendall. He was born December 28, 1875 in Washington, D.C., and died June 2, 1948 in Leesburg, Virginia.Tom was a civil engineer and farmer, who resided in Leesburg, Virginia. He was a recipient of the Service Citation of Merit Awarded by the Virginia State Office of Civilian Defense. This award recognizes outstanding participation and cooperation in both the Protective Services and the Civilian War Services.
Tom was the son of Arthur Fendall (1843-1878), who was eighth of 11 children born of Philip Richard Fendall II (1794-1827).Philip II, in turn was the son of Philip Richard Fendall I, Esq. (1734-1805), who was the builder of the "Lee-Fendall House" located at 429 N. Washington St., Alexandria, Virginia.
Tom married Lily Lawrence Rust (1880-1973) on December 15, 1909.The couple had no children of their own, but Tom had a younger sister, Mary Arthur (Fendall) Harrison (1877-1961), who had four children.I have met a few of her grandchildren, while I was back in Virginia several years ago.I would be very interested in talking with you and obtaining copies of the pictures you mentioned in your message. Please contact me at:
