MRS. J.L. GARDNER died very suddenly at her home in this city, Tuesday evening about 5 o'clock, while sitting in a hammock, her death being due to a ruptured blood vessel. MRS. GARDNER had gone to the hammock for a few minutes' rest, just a short time before, and her sister who was visiting at the home saw her fall from the hammock and ran to her, but she had passed away almost instantly. Arrangements for the funeral had not been made at the time The Reporter went to press, waiting to hear from her granddaughter, MRS. O.F. EATON, who is visiting in California.
