Mary Fenimore Ingling was the daughter of William and Rachel (Humphries or Jennens) Fenimore, of Burlington Co., New Jersey. According to the Family Bible record of her parents, Mary was born on March 10, 1761.
The Bible Record is recorded in the Daughters of the American Revolution, District of Columbia, Miscellaneous Records, vol. 193, pp. 97-100 [seen at DAR Library, Washington, D.C.]. According to that source, the original Bible where the record was inscribed was in possession of Hannah Kimble Swain (Mrs. Howard Swain), West Cape May, NJ. Also, the book, GENEALOGICAL AND MEMORIAL HISTORY OF THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY, by Francis Bazley Lee (New York: Lewis Historical Publishing Co., 1910), Vol. 3, pp. 1105-1107 [article: "Smith"] contains the same information on the children of William and Rachel Fenimore.
Since your Bice family moved to Mercer Co., Ohio, you might be interested to know that Mary Fenimore Ingling's younger brother, Barzillai Fenimore (20 Nov 1763-17 Sep 1848) moved to Ohio, too. He and his wife, Anna Brown Fenimore are buried in the Wesley Church Cemetery, Union Twp., Auglaize Co., Ohio.
