Yes I have read that article. This all points to the Jewish Myers family of Ft Myers Florida and Albany NY. Major Mordecai Myers the Mayor of Schenectady NY was a War of 1812 War Hero and his relative CSA Col Abraham Charles Myers, was a hero in the Seminal Wars in Florida. Ft Myers was named after Col Myers. This overall family also have relatives at St Johns Canada.

All three groups were related to the Myers family of Richmond who had a very close ties to Queen Victoria. They were metal experts and boat builders.

Remember the family overall is Jewish but many members are Catholic, Church of England or the various Protestant denominations.

Then with solid records from Malcolm Sterns book, the Myers family of Ft Myers Florida was related to the Cooper family of Thomas Abthorpe Cooper who was noted as the Father of American Theater. Thomas Cooper worked at the Richmond Theater in Richmond VA. The Richmond Theater was also used as a courtroom where Aaron Burr was tried for killing Alexander Hamilton.

The bottom line is, I believe Ned Myers was related to James Fenimore Cooper if Thomas Abthorpe Cooper was related to James Fenimore Cooper. That is way when James Fenimore Cooper writes that Prince Edward was Ned Myers' godfather, that statement should be taken seriously.

I would be glad to provide all the records you need.
