My great grandfather's sister, Mary Evans, married James Clark Fenimore. I would like to find out more information on her and the rest of the family. This is what I've been able to gather from the websites.

Fenimore/Fennimore Family

Spouse: ?
Children: 1.1 Richard FENIMORE Jr

2nd generation

1.1 Richard FENIMORE Jr
Richard FENIMORE Jr was born on 10 Mar 1632 in Tingewick, Buckingham, England. He was Quaker before 1672 in Banbury, England. He was working as a bricklayer in 1676 in New Jersey. He petitioned Lord Cornbury on 14 Nov 1706 in West New Jersey.

William FENIMORE Sr was born in 1675 in England. He died on 8 May 1721 in Willingboro Township, New Jersey. He has reference number 1024. He was working as a Bricklayer in New Jersey. William was a mason and a farmer. William did not sign the 1704 document in which the Burlington Quakers expressed their opposition to the bearing of arms. Most of William’s children were married by license and were not Quakers. William's will is dated 14 May 1721 and was probated on 24 May in 1721. Executors of his estate were his wife Elizabeth, brother Joseph with witnesses named as John Ward, Hugh Sharp and Jacob Perkins.
The inventory of his estate is as follows : a 20 Pound Sterling note, a clock, bonds, bills, book of debts due to the estate and a male Negro, all totaling 354 pounds Sterling, 9 shillings, and 2 1/2 pence. The heirs were his wife and children. It was also noted that there was a request that his son John was to be bound out to a Richard Red man in Philadelphia to learn the bricklayer trade.
William was a witness at the second marriage of his father Richard to Mary Crosby. William helped take an inventory on the estate of an Samuel Budding who lived in Chester, in Burlington County in New Jersey with a Abraham Heulings, Junior.

During the siege of Philadelphia a company of English soldiers came into the house in Mount Holly, New Jersey and took all the furniture into the yard, scattered the feathers from the beds "to the four winds" and then set fire to the furniture. The soldiers made Hannah dance for them. William was furious then took off his Quaker coat and placed it on the burning furniture and said "Damn Quakerism. I will have my revenge."
