My Myers family is connected to James Fenimore Cooper when my cousin Emma Mae Lewis from Pittsburgh married Clyde Fenimore.

I have been search the connect to Ned Myers for years. This is what I know. Ned Myers SEEMS to be related to Hunter John Myers as depicted in CSA Col John Esten Cooke's book The Life of Hunter John Myers.

Col Cooke's cousin Floria Cooke was married to CSA General JEB Stuart. There are some records that connect General JEB Stuart to Hunter Robert Stuart as depicted in the book Astoria by Washington Irving. CSA Col Cooke was CSA General Jeb Stuart's aide.

I know for sure these people were well aware of each other including a third hunter, Hunter Tim Murphy as depicted in the book by John Brick titled the Rifleman the life of Hunter Tim Murphy.

I have a lot more on this but you get the idea. All three hunters worked for General Daniel Morgan at the Battle of Saratoga and John Esten Cooke is buried with the Morgan family of General Daniel Morgan at Millwood VA.
