I have just found out that I am (like many others) descended from Sir Hugh Fenne. Here is the info I have on him:

Sir Hugh Fenne held the office of Treasurer of the Household to King Henry VI.1 He lived in Braintree, Essex, England.1 He lived in Soulton Burdeleys, Norfolk, England.1

Margaret Fenne was born before 1453. She was the daughter of Sir Hugh Fenne.1 She married Sir George Neville, 2nd Lord Abergavenny, son of Sir Edward Neville, 1st Lord Abergavenny and Elizabeth Beauchamp, Lady Bergavenny, before 1469.2 She died on 28 September 1485.1
From before 1469, her married name became Neville.2 As a result of her marriage, Margaret Fenne was styled as Lady Bergavenny on 18 October 1476.

Sadly, no one seems to be able to add anything to his ancestry. I am wondering if it is a variant of Fiennes or Fienles, which was a noble family, but they were located far away from Norfolk. The other probability is that he was one of those nobodys that came out of nowhere and shone. The "Fenne" could have been "atte Fenne" or "living in the fens" (the fens being the swampy coastal areas of eastern england.
