Hi Jennifer,
I just noticed your query on the genealogy web site. We may be able to make a possible connection between Philip McMahon and Frances (Fanny) McMahon nee Fennessy.
Here is what I posted on the net some time ago
"In trying to trace my missiing great grand aunts/uncles, all of whom were born in Victoria Barracks Clonmel, being the children of Staff Sergeant Thomas Fennessy of the Tipperary Artillery, I have just found in an old letter details of his daughter Fanny. This letter was written by Fr. Austin Fennessy CSSP from Trinadad to my Father Kevin Fennessy in Lisronagh Clonmel.
In the 1960's Fanny McMahon nee Fennessy was an old woman living near her son Wilfred McMahon. His address was 53 Brunel Drive Litherland, Liverpool. Fanny had obviously married a McMahon probably sometime during the first decade of the 20th. century. Wilfred (son of Fanny) had a wife named Betty and they had two children Frances and Joan (possibly in their sixties today) Any help in tracing any of these McMahons would be appreciated and in particular info. on Fanny McMahon nee Fennessy who I presume died in Liverpool in the 1960's
I doubt if there were too many Frances Fennessy's who married McMahon's and the son's name also matches. "WIlfred" What dates or timeline do you have.
Austin G. Fennessy Navan/ Ireland.
